We carry out full and partial restorations. Restoration work is specialised and few bodyshops and garages will have the skill sets and equipment to work on older cars as they are quite different from modern cars. Similarly, we do not have the equipment and skill sets to work on modern cars. We can carry out restoration work in stages, in full or just repairs to keep your car going safely.

If you are looking to have your car MOT tested we recommend A.T. Motors in Seaham (Tel 0191 581 3182) for a classic friendly test. We recommend all cars have an annual MOT test regardless of whether or not they are exempt - remember, it's your responsibility to make sure your car is road legal and we can't think of a better way than an annual MOT check and service.
Currently we are booking into 2027 for larger restorations. Smaller jobs are into late 2026. Paint only jobs are booked in on an ad hoc basis and can be completed in a much shorter timeframe.
Sorry but please don't ask us to fit your car in between jobs, we aren't willing to let down customers who have waited patiently.
Currently our labour rate is £75 + VAT (£90 inclusive) per hour. For that you get our specialist knowledge , attention to detail and decades of combined experience.
Unfortunately it's nigh on impossible to give an estimate of restoration costs because we never know what is under the skin until we start taking bits off. Most full restorations take hundreds of hours so you will be looking at quite a large outlay. Smaller jobs can be given an estimate on the proviso that if anything else crops up whilst doing the work, it is chargeable - we will contact you prior to doing any extra work.
We bill monthly so you are in control of what you spend, if you've reached your limit, we stop. Only work that is necessary is carried out, and whilst we don't rush the work we don't deliberately take our time either.
We have had a number of requests recently to "do a deal" for cash. Please note, we are VAT registered and we are an honest business who pay our dues. Therefore, the price is the same for cash as it is for bank transfer. We are not prepared to be dishonest and risk prosecution to save anyone a "few quid in the back pocket".
